Our Church
In the fall of 1982 our congregation began serving the communities of Apache Junction and East Mesa, Arizona. From our early beginnings in rented facilities to our permanent home which was completed in 1999, we have served the community with a house of worship dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel of Christ. As such, we are a family of Christians dedicated to serving the Lord and our neighbor through spiritual growth in God’s Word.
We are grounded in the belief that God’s Word is without error and that the Holy Scriptures give the only reliable solution to the problem of mankind’s guilt before God – salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
We believe the role of the church is spiritual in nature and focus on ministering to the souls of people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Word and Sacrament. Therefore, we do not preach about or become involved in politics. Nor do we see the function of the church as an organization charged with taking an activist role in changing the social ills of society. We are not members of the National Council of Churches or the World Council of Churches.
